Why Statement:

I believe the GT community holds the most potential to impact our future. I would like to be a part of that future and provide resources for parents, students, and educators.

Why Statement:
I would like to be more involved in the community serving the gifted and talented students. I have children in elementary, middle and high school and can relate to the needs of each of the education levels.

Why Statement:
I have served on the founding committee, and I enjoyed helping with the book study and Christmas email series. I would like to continue serving this group in this capacity.

My previous job was to raise fund for commercial real estate private equity project. I would like to raise fund for NISD GATES kids to have better enrichment programs.

I have had many different roles on PTA boards over the past 7 years to help support our school and my children. I feel serving on the NAGT board will support our schools, district, and my 2 GT learners in a whole new way.

Communications Officer

Xiaoxia Cao

Why Statement:
My name is Xiaoxia Cao. My daughter has been a beneficiary of the GATES program of NISD since we moved to Texas from Wisconsin four years ago. The GATES program truly keeps her challenged and helps her stay engaged in school. As a parent, I would love to help advocate for all GATES students in our school district, so that students like my daughter can continue to thrive and reach their full potential.

​I am articulate in my writing and know how to communicate with different audiences as I have dealt with people of varied backgrounds and at different levels.

I would love to serve in the legislative roll for NAGT so that we can advocate for our students not only in our district, but also in the state.
